Maxalto is an Italian modern classic design company with its own voice that offers exclusive pieces crafted in the artisanal tradition. Founded in 1975 along with B&B Italia, Maxalto immediately stood out due to its unique identity. With Afra and Tobia Scarpa as its first designers, Maxalto’s specialisation in the production of artisanal furniture and its quest for the very highest standards of quality in its materials and craftspeople allowed excellence to be intrinsic to each one of its pieces. In 1993, with the addition of the designer Antonio Citterio as the company’s coordinator, Maxalto entered a new phase in which the focus was on elegant, classical and contemporary furniture, establishing itself as the standard bearer for the concept of “modern neoclassical” pieces. Today, it is one of the world’s most prestigious companies, thanks to its unique style and sophistication.
