Born in 1932 in Germany, from an early age Ingo Maurer played with light in order to show the world truly unique luminous objects. Today he continues to do so and in all his designs he uses a large amount of low-cost materials, such as plastic, aluminium or recycled materials. In addition to the manufacturing of lamps, his projects also encompass light installations, both in public and private spaces, considered as artistic performances.
